Well I have bit the bullet and started a blog. I am excited about keeeping up with this so that family and friends can stay updated with what is going on in our lives.
You may be able to tell that their is a bird theme to our blog. I wanted to explain the meaning behind that. My Mom used to always say whenever she saw a bluebird or a redbird she would think of her grandmothers who had passed away. She said it was her way of knowing they were watching over her all the time. After my Mom passed away I started to notice the redbirds and bluebirds even more. I remember going for a walk with my sister right after my Mom passed away and seeing a red bird. At my parent's house there were two redbirds in their backyard an older one and a smaller one. This summer when we went on vacation to Hilton Head with my Dad, sister and brother-in-law there was a redbird right outside our beachouse. Now anytime I see those birds I not only think of my great grandmothers but of my Mom. I know she is watching over me and the rest of our family.
